Outlook Web Access - unable to use reply or create new email

PROBLEM:

Email comes up ok but when I hit the reply button, reply mail details come up but a small x appears in the text area as though an active x component has not run. This now means no reply text can be entered.

CAUSE:

Internet Explorer 7 creates this problem by preventing ActiveX controls.

SOLUTION:

This is a server solution. A fix must be applied to the server running the exchange:
